How We Evaluate Your Inventory
To provide an accurate assessment of your excess stock, our purchasing team needs specific details about the parts you hold. The key factors we review include:
- Part numbers: Exact manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) are required to check current market demand.
- Date codes: Newer date codes generally hold higher value. We note the manufacturing year and week printed on the components or packaging.
- Packaging condition: Parts kept in original, unopened, factory-sealed packaging (such as intact tape and reel, tubes, or trays with moisture barrier bags) are easier to process than loose or repackaged items.
- Quantity: We assess both small batches of high-value parts and large volumes of common components.
Please prepare a packing list or spreadsheet containing these details when reaching out. This allows us to cross-reference your stock against current market requirements efficiently.
Preparing Your Stock for Review
Before submitting your inventory list, ensure the data is organized clearly. A standard format should include columns for the manufacturer name, full part number, quantity on hand, date code, and packaging type. If you have mixed lots or partial reels, note the approximate remaining quantity.
